How can I reach the perfect mesh tensioning?

First of all, you have to display the mesh on the frame.  Insert the spline right below the first corner.  Go on inserting the spline in the profile, without tensioning the mesh (the mesh will get in place automatically).  While inserting the spline in the second side of the frame, don’t tension the mesh either and leave it to the natural effect.  Tension the mesh to the maximum only when you insert the mesh in the third and fourth side.  The mesh will then remain perfectly tensioned.

A metric band is to be noticed on the backside of the cassette. The total length of the metric band actually shows the limit over which the product can’t be cut. 80cm and 100cm wide flyscreens can be cut up to 40cm (30cm if you use the speed reducer system), while rollers over 120cm wide can be cut up to 50cm in width.

What is the maximal adjustment size in height of the roller door and double roller door?

What is the difference between a Bug Stop flyscreen and another one?

BUG STOP flyscreens comply with all european quality standards. Most of our competitors do import asian products that unfortunately don’t always comply with our regulations (IQNET, REACH, QUALICOAT, etc…)
The strip that we use on roller flyscreens is directly inserted into the tube and wouldn’t break ever, while our competitor simply use to stick the mesh on the tube (this definitely leads to the mesh tearing apart from the tube).
Bug Stop constantly chooses the best raw materials for you in order to assure both price and quality at the same time, so that you don’t have to make any choice.

What is the white the tubular accessory with spring delivered with my roller fly screen?

This accessory is the speed reducer system. It enables the flyscreen to close softly, thus avoiding any risk of injuries or breakage. This system ideally works of flyscreen between 640mm and 1400mm wide.

What do the dimensions mentioned on the packaging stand for?

The dimensions mentionned on the packaging match the maximum opening that you can cover with the flyscreen. They don’t always match neither the size of the finished product, nor the size of the profiles. For example, a sliding flyscreen that mentions 70cm x 130cm on the packaging isn’t 70cm wide and 130cm high. It is actually larger (both in width and height) because it has to overlap the window frame whereon it is fitted. Nevertheles, the profiles are shorter than 70cm and 130cm beause the size of all accessories have already been deducted from the profile lenght when manufactured. In our example, we can say that our flyscreen can cover an opening of 70cm x 130cm.

How to take measurements in order to fit my sliding fly screen?

1. Make sure that there is a small rail all around the sliding window, in order to insert the top rail into the top part of the flyscreen and place the rolls on the bottom rail. In case your window doen’t have any rail, you won’t be able to fit the flysceen (and should then choose a roller flyscreen);
2. Completely shut the window panel that is on the inside of the room;
3. Measure three times (top, middle and bottom) in width the distance between the edge of the shut window and the edge of the frame rail (where the flyscreen is inserted);
4. Note down the shortest size. In case you prefer to make sure that your flyscreen is wide enough, you can increase the overlap. In this case add up to 1,5cm to the size that you noted down for the width;
5. Measure three times (left, centre and right) the distance between the edge of the bottom rail (where the rolls will be placed) and the edge of the top rail of the frame (where the top of the flyscreen will be inserted);
6. Note down the shortest size.

How can I cut through a roller fly screen?

It is very easy to cut a roller flyscreen. You just need a metal saw. Cut through the whole cassette, inlcuding the rolled mesh, tube and pull profile. We advise you to read carefully the fitting instructions and watch the videos before cutting. Remember that you can easily require a technical assistance in acase you have any doubt.

Why aren't the dimensions of accessories mentioned in the fitting instructions?

We don’t mention them because we already deducted them from the legth of the profile. For example, let’s say that you purchased a flyscreen that can cover an opening up to 100cm wide, with accessories that are 5cm wide. In this case the profile’s length from manufacture would be 95cm. This way the product will cover the 100cm wide opening, once assebled. Measuring and cutting the product is therefore very easy because you don’t have to make any calculation in order to deduct the size of the accessories

Bug Stop flyscreens can easily be adjusted in width and in height. Profiles can be cut with a metal saw. Roller flyscreens can be cut through the whole cassette (including the profile, rolled mesh and bottom bar altogether).

1. Measure the opening that you widh to cover with the flyscreen (for example 50cm);
2. Look at the dimensions that are mentioned on the packaging (for example: 70cm);
3. Do the substraction between both dimensions in order to calculate the excess of profile that you have to cut: 70cm-50cm=20cm (in our example, 20cm of profile are exceeding then and must be thrown out).

How to fit the telescopic fly screen?

The telescopic flyscreen is definitely the easiest one to fit. You just need a roller blind to hold the flyscreen.
